Valentina, a beautiful blog, I love and I will be very useful in my trip to Venice.
I want to ask help on this: I will spend New Year’s Eve (Capodanno) in Venice, we are four people from Argentina and Spain, want to know where it would be possible to eat very cheaply, or if the night is no sale of food on the street. In addition to knowing whether parties or events … or what happens!
PD: thanks GOOGLE Translator!!

Dear Silvia,
sorry for my late reply.
The new year’s eve celebrations in Venice are quite expensive (for example the ones at Danieli, Luna Baglioni and Monaco hotels cost in order 590, 490 and 320€), so I would suggest you to have dinner in one small restaurant and then go to Saint Mark’s square to look at the fireworks. On December 31st, in San Polo square (Campo San Polo) until 3 am you can also ice skate.

Dear Valentina: thank you very much for your response. We have hired a hotel in Marghera
Again need your help: can you suggest me the name of any little Restorante for dinner? also: at what time we must dinner at Capodanno.
Thank you very much for your suggestions and information.
Another question (OH!): January 1, businesses and museums are open or closed? there is some special event on that day?

a hug!

Here’s my favourite restaurants in Venice:
Luna Sentada http://www.lunasentada.it – here you can have typical venetian food and also some asian dishes
Antiche Carampane (but they’re already fully booked for New Year’s eve)
Vini da Gigio http://www.vinidagigio.com
Osteria Barababao Ph. +39 041 5221061
Osteria di Santa Marina Ph +39 041 528523
Da Fiore (www.dafiore.net) – this is quite expensive (1 Michelin star)

On Dec. 21st some of them offer a fix menu, some are “à la carte”. The first ones start at around 9/9.30 pm, at the second ones you can go when you want (reserve in advance for both types!!).

On january 1st, some shops are open some are not. Most museums are closed (for more information, visit http://www.visitmuve.it).
